Gerry supports her claim by introducing her readers to a court trial that was in session to try to prohibit any individual from being stationed on the street. Her purpose in writing this article is to show peoples objective to the removal of homeless people is becoming the center of discrimination. My purpose in using this article is to show how discrimination is a problem in America, and how this problem has trickled to our criminal system. Wen, Chuck K. “Homeless People’s Perceptions of Welcomeness and Unwelcomeness in Healthcare Encounters.” JGIM: Journal of General Internal Medicine. 2007;22(7):1011-1017.
In his article "Homeless People’s Perceptions of Welcomeness and Unwelcomeness in Healthcare Encounters" (2007), Chuck Wen asserts that discrimination within the health care facilities is prominent and subject as to why homeless individuals are hesitant to seeking medical care. Wen supports his claims by introducing a study he did about the “I-it’s” and the “I-you’s” and how they  choice of wording physicians use is very important to making a homeless or non-homeless person feel welcome in their facility. His purpose in writing this article is to how physicians in healthcare facilities use discrimination in their practices with simply their word choice. I’m going to use this article to show how discrimination is everywhere for a person who is homeless, even in the healthcare facilities. Healthcare is essential for everyone and for someone to feel hesitant about seeking care is a problem within our society.

Lynch supports his claims about these connections by providing how the homelessness has became a socio-economic problem in their troubles to improve their health. His purpose in writing this article is to inform the American culture the discrimination within the poor community is subject to their lack of advancement. I plan to use this article to show how discrimination is subject as to why poor people are deprived of social mobility.
