Dental care visits among low-income African Americans

In his article "Determinants of dental care visits among low-income African-American children” (2007), Sohn Woosung asserts African American children are far less likely to have been taken to dental visits on a regular bases compared to white children. Woosung supports his claims about African American dental care by providing a study done in Detroit where a lot of the low income Blacks lived, and assessed them using the International Caries Diagnosis Assessment System. His purpose is to inform individuals in society that African American children are not receiving adequate dental care . His tone seems to be very professional and informative.
