In Ashely Millers
article, “Health Living” (1999), she asserts that music has cognitive benefits that
help students succeed in school. She proves this with statistical data that
shows a study where students how are musically inclined have better recall
ability and better ACT scores. Millers purpose is to show the benefits of
musically educating children. Her tone is informative and professional, it
seems as though she is addressing patents.
