Monday's Assignment

This video had me laughing!!! I love the humor that the man played into making his point. Beyond all the jokes, I personally feel like its wrong to edit this book. Mark Twain book should be left alone because it’s a source of our history. Back when this book was written it was common to call black nigger. By editing this word out, we are erasing one of the obstacles that blacks had to overcome. In todays society we can compare how far the blacks have progress since that time of this era. We no long go around degrading blacks with such of an offensive word. History is meaningful in a manor that we can look back and see how things use to be, and what successful things we did to overcome obstacles. By editing the book we are taking about from knowledge.

Blow also state “We shouldn’t simply wait for the bodies to fall to separate the wheat from the chaff”, meaning that we shouldn’t need tragedies to happen in order for Americans to wake up and realize that we need restrictions, and laws.
